Pakele
Live!
Pakele Foundation’s highest profile initiative was
the creation of Pakele
Live! a weekly two hour live, online streaming
concert and television series. The series was created
by Pakele Foundation’s Executive Director, Pali
Ka`aihue:
| “As a musician, I know the challenges many of Hawai`i’s artists face in trying to share their music, and especially new releases. With Pakele Live! – artists are now able to showcase their music, compositions and artistry. Featuring contemporary and traditional stylings, instrumental and vocal - Pakele Live! allows fans worldwide to tune in online and Hawai`i residents can watch these performances via the weekly television series. This allows our music to continue to grow, find new audiences/fans and helps promote Hawai`i's musicians and cultural practitioners." |
Sharing the vision of Pakele
Live! and the Foundation’s initiatives and purpose
was local television personality, Producer, Director
and Radio
talent, Tony Solis. Through their shared vision
and combined resources, Tony is responsible for
the broadcast of Pakele
Live! performances on television on Time Warner
Oceanic Cable’s OC 16. The television show airs
eleven times a week and has acquired quite a large
viewing audience.
